Chris Mallula was so helpful to us when we were looking to buy a house. She really worked with us and our specific needs being in a different time zone and having a newborn and a short time line. When we went to her office to close on the house, we had a newborn, dog and in-laws in tow. They were so accommodating with us.
The entire time that I worked with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, I was very content with the work that was done for me by my realtor. I would highly recommend other people to use their services as well.
The realtor that we had at Berkshire Hathaway was so great. She was patient enough to work with us for a couple of years in order to find our perfect home, and she was very successful in doing so.
I wouldn't recommend for renters. After being told the fee for background checks is a flat $30, they called a few days later to tell me it was $30 a person who's applying. They made me feel like we had very little chance of getting the place we wanted when I told them I have an emotional support animal. We finally got them to put in the application in anyway and after over a week hearing nothing, they finally came back and wanted another $60 to run background checks on the other 2 people we live with. They still had no clue if we would be able to rent it or not. We are 4 adults with full time jobs, not students. I own a business and currently rent both our home and the business. It felt like they were just there for the money and didn't want to help us at all. Not worth the money for the very little confidence they gave us. We really loved the place we looked at, and we're even thinking of possibly buying it after we lived there a little while. (It was also for sale) Just hope this isn't how they treat everyone.
We went online and found a couple of houses we liked and Berkshire Hathaway were listed as the realty company. We decided to use them because they seemed to work with homes of our interest. It was the best idea we ever had as because of them we live in a home we love.
